The True Maldives originally founded and developed by Bas (also the founder of this company) is one of the leading safari organizers in the Maldives. TTM has an almost impeccable track record and is nowadays run by Remco and Marco. TTM organizes mainly 10 day safaris to be able to sail out of sync with other safari boats who mainly organize 1 week trips. This is a huge advantage as you will have most divesites for yourself and this will also give you more freedom in finding whale sharks or doing some more manta- or shark dives. The last couple of years the manta night dives have become very popular just as a night dive with dozens of nurse sharks.
Don’t expect a Jacuzzi or spa on board, Dinasha is about diving! That having said, the crew on board has been working together for a long time and they are among the best crews we has ever encountered. Dinasha has an extremely experienced captain and a great chef from Nepal.
Dinasha offers space for 14 guests (7 cabins) and is refurbished in 2014 with a new air conditioning system and a new soundproof generator, all the rooms were rebuild in 2018 (!). The Dinasha has 6 crew and 2 crew on the Dhoni (the accompanying boat that is used for diving).
TTM offers 3 dives per day except the first and last diving day (each 1 dive). This means in a 10 day safari you will do 26 dives (if weather permitting).
Below an impression of the diving on board with TTM, made by one of the guests during a trip in September 2014, a picture says more than a thousand words.
